Seth Brizek was the co-captain of Clemson’s ACC Champion, Regional Champion, and
World Series Team in 1995 when he earned All-American honors as a shortstop.
Drafted in the 8th round by the Seattle Mariners in 1995 as a shortstop /
pitcher, he earned several club honors over his 4 year career. As an associate
scout for the Atlanta Braves he trained Atlanta’s 2nd round pick in ’03 and the
Pirates 3rd round pick, Eddie Prasch, in ’04. Seth has been instructing for 15 years, has placed over 240 of his kids into college baseball programs, and has had 24 go on to play professionally. His credentials are unmatched in the Southeast let alone the Upstate. He is also the head coach of Blue Chip Bulls nationally ranked 18U team the Blue Chip Bulls, former scout for the Texas Rangers and is now living in Anderson, SC and has a 8 year old son named Kidd. As the original owner of Blue Chip Baseball he will add to his over 33,000 lessons given and 15 years of professional instruction here in upstate SC. PJ
Zocchi was a right handed
pitcher at Clemson from 2003-2007. In his career at Clemson, PJ
posted a 11-2 record on the mound. As a Senior Co-captain with Andy
D'Alessio, PJ has college world series experience as well as
professional baseball experience with the Cleveland Indians. He is currently playing independent ball and instructs at Blue Chip in the off-season. He is also the assistant coach of our Blue Chip Bulls 15U team. In fact, at the the end of his 4 years of college Blair became Anderson U's all-time leader in HR's, doubles, hits, RBI's, and runs scored. He then went on to pitch for the Cincinnati Reds in their minor league system for 2 years and is now back in Anderson. Interestingly, Blair played on one of the first HS summer teams Seth coached when he first opened Blue Chip and stood out on that team as well. If you get to know Blair you'll realize he is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and has the perfect personality for being a great instructor. We are excited to have Blair on the staff. ![]() Lauren Ross started coaching softball instruction 2009 at Blue Chip. Originally from Hope Mills, NC Lauren went on to an outstanding career at Western Carolina University. While a pitcher and first baseman at Western she set school records for HR's and RBI's, was the SoCon Player of the Week 5 times, and had a career ERA of 3.23 with 267 strikeouts in 332 innings. D'Alessio spent 2003-2007 as
Clemson University's first baseman. He holds Clemson's all-time
career HR record with 59! In 2006 and 2007 Andy was drafted in the
10th and 17th rounds respectively, and is currently playing AA
baseball with the San Francisco Giants. This is Andy's fifth
year of professional instruction at the Blue Chip facility. Andy is
a very knowledgeable hitter and position player, and is also has a
background in pitching. He is also the head coach of our new 12U
